Volta helps independent artists, labels, and rights holders unlock sync licensing — with verified splits, instant clearance, and licenses that hold up.
Most sync deals die before they begin — not because the music wasn't right, but because the rights weren't clear. Volta solves that upstream, before your music ever reaches a supervisor's desk.
"I kept watching great music get rejected — not because it wasn't right for the brief, but because the paperwork wasn't in order."
I started in music as an A&R intern, spending years learning how labels discover, develop, and commercialise artists. That work gave me a deep respect for independent music — and a clear-eyed view of exactly where the system fails the people who make it.
The sync licensing problem is structural. Major labels have legal departments, licensing teams, and rate cards on standby. Independent artists have email. When a sync supervisor needs a cleared track in 48 hours, the outcome of that search is predictable — and it rarely benefits independent music, regardless of quality.
Volta exists to fix that infrastructure gap. Not by building a better playlist or a cheaper subscription, but by solving the legal clearance problem upstream — before music ever reaches a supervisor's desk. Every track in our catalog is verified, documented, and license-ready from day one.
I'm building Volta because I believe independent music represents the most culturally vital and commercially undervalued catalog in the industry. Closing that gap is both a business opportunity and something worth doing.
Whether you're an artist or label looking to get your catalog placed, or a filmmaker or creator looking for cleared music — we'd love to hear from you.
