Pre-cleared.
Pitch-ready.
Placed.

Most sync deals die before they begin — not because the music wasn't right, but because the rights weren't clear. Volta solves that upstream, before your music ever reaches a supervisor's desk.

How it works
01 — Submit
Submit your catalog
Send us your tracks with basic metadata — genre, mood, BPM, ISRC. We review every submission editorially before accepting it into the catalog.
02 — Verify
Rights verification
We send digital confirmation requests to every rights holder. Splits are verified, ownership is documented, and your track receives a permanent verified rights record.
03 — Activate
Catalog activation
Verified tracks enter the active Volta catalog — pitch-ready and available for instant licensing to our network of indie film, game, and content buyers.
04 — Place
Placement & payment
When a brief matches your music, we pitch it. When it lands, we handle the contract, collect payment, and transfer your share within 5 business days.
🎬
How sync opportunities work
When a supervisor posts a brief — a film scoring need, a brand campaign, a game soundtrack — we match it against the verified Volta catalog. Pitches go only to tracks with confirmed cleared rights. This is what makes Volta viable for buyers: zero legal risk, zero delay. Your music competes on creative merit alone.
Revenue model
75–80%
Artist / label share
Your earnings from every successful placement, paid within 5 business days of collection.
20–25%

Our fee covers rights verification, pitching, contract management, and buyer relationships. Only charged on successful placements — zero upfront cost.
Non-exclusive
Joining Volta does not restrict your music from being licensed anywhere else. You keep full ownership and creative control.

A&R Music rights Sync licensing Milan

"I kept watching great music get rejected — not because it wasn't right for the brief, but because the paperwork wasn't in order."

I started in music as an A&R intern, spending years learning how labels discover, develop, and commercialise artists. That work gave me a deep respect for independent music — and a clear-eyed view of exactly where the system fails the people who make it.

The sync licensing problem is structural. Major labels have legal departments, licensing teams, and rate cards on standby. Independent artists have email. When a sync supervisor needs a cleared track in 48 hours, the outcome of that search is predictable — and it rarely benefits independent music, regardless of quality.

Volta exists to fix that infrastructure gap. Not by building a better playlist or a cheaper subscription, but by solving the legal clearance problem upstream — before music ever reaches a supervisor's desk. Every track in our catalog is verified, documented, and license-ready from day one.

I'm building Volta because I believe independent music represents the most culturally vital and commercially undervalued catalog in the industry. Closing that gap is both a business opportunity and something worth doing.
